5.0 out of 5 stars LADIES LOVE OUTLAWS
THIS CD IS ONE OF THE BEST BY WAYLON. THE SONGS ARE GREAT, AND THE LAST ONE (HE WENT TO PARIS) IS THE BEST. IT IS A JIMMY BUFFET SONG WITH A STEEL GUITAR. THIS IS OUTLAW COUNTRY.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good songs, but not as advertised
This is NOT Waylon's classic 1972 album "Ladies Love Outlaws". Although this isn't even billed as a 'greatest hits' collection the songs in this disc are from various albums from 1972 to 1982. There doesn't appear to be a good reason for this album to exist, except maybe to make the record label (BMG) a few bucks. Still, there are some great songs here,...

Still, there are some great songs here, such as "Waltz Across Texas"; some of these can't be found elsewhere. Hopefully, Buddha records (which has recently rereleased some of Waylon's best albums) will get around to putting the original "Ladies Love Outlaws" out on CD as well as others like "Lonesome, Onry, and Mean".

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed!, August 10, 2001

As a previous reviewer noted, this is NOT the original "Ladies Love Outlaws" album and does NOT include the true gem of that release: Waylon and Jesse as a duet on Buck Owens' delightful "Under Your Spell Again." Somebody made money on this poor excuse for a Waylon CD, and it probably wasn't Waylon. At least I only wasted seven bucks.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointment, April 4, 2009
I used to own a Waylon album titled Ladies Love Outlaws. Perhaps not his best effort, but still memorable. About thirty years ago a girl I used to know borrowed it from me and I haven't seen it since. I have been thinking about searching for it on the Internet and was pleased when I found the title on Amazon. The disappointment was equally strong when I found out that this was not the Ladies Love Outlaws album. How can someone be so ignorant as to release an album that has nothing to do with the original title? Still there is hope. I have managed to get a recording of the LP. The sound is bad but I hope to be able to clean it using the Steinberg WaveLab and Clean software.

4.0 out of 5 stars All American Country, August 11, 2005

I bought this particular Waylon Jennings for the song made famous in the movie The Executioner's Song (Good Ol' Boys), and also because it's the first track on the cd. It turns out the actual title of the cd is All American Country, not Ladies Love Outlaws. And it's indeed a really nice compilation of "country". I like it a lot.

1.0 out of 5 stars Mistaken Identity, November 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The title of this album is the same as an old vinyl album. That is the reason I bought this. However, the songs are not the same. A big disappointment and waste of money/time.
