Pros: This was written & recorded before rap or hip-hop. But Gil Scott-Heron definitely was warming folks up to the notion. This is a beautiful song full of hope that recognizes the healing power of music in particular, masters like Lady Day (Billie Holiday) and John Coltrane. It is pure and honest and from the heart with no additives or preservatives.

Cons: Absolutely none. This song played on FM-radio made me think some vocals in some songs had value rather than simply getting in the way of the music.

Other: It may or may not be dated but this takes me back to a time and place I like very much so it's 5 stars to me. It's nice to able to download this single song too. Thanks amazon.
