Not Like Any Tea Recipes I've Seen

This book should have been titled Teatime For Bubba because of the recipes contained within it's pages. I've been to many tearooms and have hosted teas myself. There aren't any of these recipes I would serve at a tea. Usually, teas have dainty sandwiches, small cookies and cakes, and scones with Devonshire Cream. Not Coca Cola Cake,Spaghetti salad (made with Salad Supreme mix), Jalapeno Cheese Mix, Punch with mashed bananas in it or Sausage Bars.Most of the recipes in this book would be more suited to a picnic, not a tea.

party, not tea room, recipes

Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase

The book title is very misleading. Out of all the recipes in this short cookbook, only Cucumber Sandwiches might be found in a Tea Room. It's all party food otherwise - Mexican Dip, Artichoke Dip, various punches, jumble cakes, etc. I gave it two stars for the fact that the recipes are useable. But not what you would find in a Tea Room.
