Lady Frankenstein (Enhanced) 1971 La Figlia di Frankenstein

This film has been enhanced using a Video Enhancement Program that reduces noise and enhances video quality.

When Tania Frankenstein tells her father that she plans to carry on with his work reanimating corpses, no one has any idea how far she will carry the plan. After the latest monster kills Dr. Frankenstein, Tania finds herself in love with her father s assistant, Dr. Marshall. However, his aging body is not enough for her. Together the two plan to transplant Marshall s brain into the doctor s younger and sexier servant. Unfortunately the monster has other ideas.

Lady Frankenstein La Figlia di Frankenstein portrays a twist on the traditional Frankenstein tale, with the main character being a woman. Tania Frankenstein is played by Rosalba Neri. Her partner in crime, Dr. Marshall is Paul Müller. Dr. Frankenstein is Joseph Cotton. The movie was filmed in Italy and was directed by Mel Welles.

3.0 out of 5 stars An Unbelievably Inept Film Gains Lunatic Momentum Throughout As It Embraces Bad Movie Magic, December 1, 2011
This review is from: Lady Frankenstein (Enhanced) La Figlia di Frankenstein - 1971 (DVD)
Pity poor Joseph Cotton for having been reduced to starring in this Italian made gothic schlock piece circa 1971, it's a far cry from his appearances in Citizen Kane, Shadow of a Doubt, and The Third Man. What is more disturbing is that he may be the worst thing in the movie! Capitalizing on the titillating exploitation films of the late sixties and early seventies, this mash-up infuses traditional Frankenstein hijinks with far racier adult elements. The beginning, with Cotton's Baron Frankenstein, trying to bring animation to the dead is staggeringly lifeless--and I absolutely hated this movie. But as things progress and his daughter steps into the limelight, the movie starts to take on a loopy energy that is hard to resist. She's going to build her a man for selfish purposes of her own! As the movie embraces its own ludicrous lunacy, it becomes quite a treat in bad film mayhem. KGHarris, 12/11.
