Review
Cassidy Wayne believes Hunt Tylo killed her family five years ago so his cattle could cross her land and have access to the Losee River. She learns to shoot, then tracks four of the five men responsible and kills them in gunfights. Cass is positive that the last man, the man with the silver gun, is Hunt Tylo and she asks the sheriff to question him about the murders. Federal Marshall Brett Ryder is sent to Twisted Creek to investigate the lady of the gun. He bumps into Cass and there is a magnetic attraction. Brett introduces himself to the sheriff and tells him why he is there. The sheriff tells Brett that he just met the lady of the gun, and about the Wayne family. Brett is astonished and flabbergasted! The sheriff goes to the Tylo ranch. On her way home she sees the sheriffs horse, then finds his body on Tylo property and brings him back to town. Brett takes her home, and later that night, they become lovers. Cass and Brett talk with Hunt Tylo and his son Ramsey, who later asks Cass to the Fourth of July parade. Later, on the way home, Ramsey kisses and caresses Cass, but she is repulsed and a little frightened. Cass lets Hunt Tylo know that she will be fencing in her property, and he warns her that there will be trouble. There is a lot of trouble for Cass, and while she knows Tylo is behind it, she can't prove it. When a gunslinger comes to town to challenge Cass, she finally learns who the last man is, but will she live to tell Brett of her discovery, and that she loves him?A sharp plot and a stirring romance! Lady of the Gun by Faye Adams, read it, you'll like it! Lady of the Gun is great reading! Exciting plot, rousing romance, humor - it's all there for the reading!
