Read this book.

Good plot, really good characters, really good sex, and a couple of laughs. I think what makes this an especially nice author to stumble into is her way of making each character independently interesting. Rather than being just a story about Jessica, and then the appendage she loves, or just a story about Doug and some flat character, Doug and Jess are complete and enjoyable in their own right.

I can't say enough about the quality of the writing. Every page has a great line, a wonderfully cutting description, or a situation that feels incredibly real. Leigh puts her finger right on "rawhide hair", great deadpan humor, and quick and funny telephone conversations. She doesn't waste words. Every scene is nailed and so easy to visualize.

Honestly, it's a crying shame to see this book bound up in pink and left to rot in the un-alphabetized romance section, when there are other books that are sold as fiction and don't have half the quality or romance that this book does. Good job, Leigh. I'll definitely follow your career with interest.
