Book Description

April 7, 2011
Anne Mitchell, born illegitimate and raised in a workhouse, sold by her mother and packed off by her father to the East, had every reason to lose faith. But in Egypt she found identity with the Khamsin, a tribe of Bedouin warriors. Greater even than the secret they entrusted to her was her newfound honor, and for that she would give all.

Nigel Wallenford was an earl. He was also a thief, a liar and a libertine. Regaining his birthright of Claradon had been a start. Next he required wealth, and he knew of just the fabled treasure…and its key’s guardian was a ripe fig waiting to be plucked. Never before had he scrupled to cheat, steal or even murder. One displaced Englishwoman, no matter how fair, would hardly be his match.

What keeps drawing me back to Bonnie Vanak's books, whether it's her Khamsin Warriors Eygyptian historicals or her yummy shapeshifting Draicon wolves in her Silhouette Nocturnes, is the conflict and the emotion. It's always so intricately woven into the fabric of the story. I'm always happy to go where she leads, because I know the big emotional payoff is always there. Which, of course, is why I read romance. The Lady and the Libertine delivered in spades!

More About the Author

I'm the author of Egyptian historicals and werewolf paranormal romance novels. My latest Nocturne release is The Shadow Wolf. This story features Gabriel, perhaps the most deadly of the Draicon werewolves.

Taken by the Alpha Wolf is a short story published on Kindle that features Etienne, the eldest of the Draicon werewolf brothers. It's a prequel to my other Draicon stories, including The Empath, Broken Souls, Enemy Lover and Immortal Wolf.

Starting in October 2011, I will have a trilogy of short novellas released by Harlequin's new Nocturne Cravings line. These stories are part of my new series called The Ancients and feature triplet sisters who are half angel, half demon. Bitten by the Vampire is the first novella.

Many of my backlist Egyptian historicals are now available on Kindle. These include The Falcon and the Dove, The Tiger & the Tomb, The Panther & the Pyramid, The Sword & the Sheath and The Lady & the Libertine.
