4.0 out of 5 stars Informative..., August 4, 1998
This review is from: Lady of the Night: A Handbook of Moon Magick & Rituals (Llewellyn's Modern Witchcraft) (Paperback)
Although just about any beginner's level book will go into some detail about magick and it's correspondence with the moon, McCoy has managed to bring it all together in a concise book that covers many areas not so thoroughly covered in other books. Correspondences, days, hours and other things needed to help aid you in your magickal workings are contained within, and are a useful source to those wishing to learn more on the subject.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring, February 25, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Lady of the Night: A Handbook of Moon Magick & Rituals (Llewellyn's Modern Witchcraft) (Paperback)
McCoy's take on moon magic and ritual goes beyond the usual cycles of full moon-new moon and shows modern Pagans how to live in harmony all with the lunar cycles. Also includes an excellent chapter on the little-understood aspects of advanced natural magic

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, December 2, 1999

This review is from: Lady of the Night: A Handbook of Moon Magick & Rituals (Llewellyn's Modern Witchcraft) (Paperback)
This book, as are most from Edain McCoy, brings a gentle, well-balanced philosophy of love of the Goddess in her various forms into your heart. Again, Edain guides the reader into a relationship with the Goddess that is not critical or restrictive of her tradition. Anyone can read this book and enrich her spiritual union. This is a book you want to hug as much as read. I heartily recommend it.

This review is from: Lady of the Night: A Handbook of Moon Magick & Rituals (Llewellyn's Modern Witchcraft) (Paperback)
Since I love almost all of Ms. McCoy's books, I guess I'm a little biased. However, I found this book to be very informative and gave me a lot of ideas for the Esbats. I highly recommend it. Bright Blessings to all!!! :)

i have a love/hate relationship with edain mccoy's books some of her books are really good like this but some are really bad, like celtic myth and magick. however i enjoyed this book alot it focuses all aspects of the moon goddesses or gods. it talks about the runes and how to celebrate the esbats,as well as drawing down the moon. my favirote part was the chapter on advanced magick.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I wanted & Needed, February 25, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lady of the Night: A Handbook of Moon Magick & Rituals (Llewellyn's Modern Witchcraft) (Paperback)
Being new to the path, I decided to purchase this book because I had previously enjoyed McCoy's style and insights. This book is exactly what I wanted - information and rituals that are accesibble to both the novice and the well versed. This book has real depth and I liked the list of Lunar dieties she compiled.

This is another great book about magick my McCoy. This is book was reprinted as magick and rituals of the moon so look for it under that name. This book is by far the best moon magick book out there. It explanes every phase and how to hold an esbat, and make magick durring that time. Great for all on the pagan path. The moon is divine and we shall dance in her glory.
