5.0 out of 5 stars A Seafaring Rogue with a Secret. So good, I keep spares., April 1, 2004
This review is from: Lady Patience (Precious Gem Historical Romance #22) (Paperback)
Another of Blair's early works, this one ranks right up there with the best of them. Very, very difficult to find, probably because of the hunky pirate of a sea captain. It's funny, sexy, delicious from beginning to end. Don't miss this one. I read it so many times I wore the first one out and had to hunt for spares.

This review is from: Lady Patience (Precious Gem Historical Romance #22) (Paperback)
Annette Blair has done it again, she has produced another enjoyable read that started out as a light hearted romp but ended up being a lesson for all about how the sins of the parent can negatively affect their children's future relationships. Our hero Grant turned his back on his father and heritage to make his own way in the world. Along the way with the help of his brother they built a successful shipping empire. Grant is the captain of his own ship when he meets Lady Patience a passenger who is returning home to England after a major disappointment in her life. The moment they meet sparks begin to fly. She is an independent lady that can give as good as she gets, he is an adorable rogue that cannot resist her. The sea voyage is hilarious at times due to the 4 young American heiresses and their pets Patience is chaperoning. She is escorting them to London to find husbands. To experience Grant and Patience falling in love and fighting it every step of the way was delightful. The last 3 chapters of the book I kept saying, "tell her you love her". It was so obvious they were made for each other, it would have been a shame if they continued to deny their love due to the hurt and betrayal they received from their parents. If you like this book I recommend AB's Rogues Club series. My favorite is the first one in the series because I loved the children in the book and the birthing scene was a LOL moment... An Undeniable Rogue, An Unforgettable Rogue, An Unmistakable Rogue, and Christmas Baby. Also worth a try is Thee I Love and The Butterfly Garden both are Amish romances.
