About the Author

Frances Hodgson Burnett is best known for her children's stories The Secret Garden, A Little Princess, and Little Lord Fauntleroy. Born into the slums of Manchester, she wrote realistic working-class tales with romantic plots. Later in life, she lived in Washington, D.C. and became a US citizen.

Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I bought the book for my Kindle however I was not pleased with it. The writing is okay, but some of the words the author used requires a dictionary. If I have to look up the meaning of too many words then apparently the writing is not very clear. And the lead character is too "full of herself". I got bored and have stopped reading the book.
