5.0 out of 5 stars The best romance I've read in quite some time, November 19, 1998
By
When the bus pulled into the depot from my commute to work I was terribly dissappointed. I wish I had hit 2 hours of traffic becuase I did not want to put this book down. The story of Carrick and Glynnis was a delight to read. The fast paced, witty conversation, easy quips and light banter had me laughing with the characters. I had some idea how Ms. LaFoy was going to end this one, but I didn't care. I now have to go out and buy the previous book - the story of Carrick's parents, something tells me it will be worth it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Leslie LaFoy is My FAVORITE author!!!, August 9, 1999
By A Customer
I have read both of the books Leslie LaFoy wrote and I absolutely love them. She has fantastic characters. The women are strong, self reliant, but still hold on to their feminity. The men are strong and with great personality. I love her writing style....I am dying to read the next book she wrote. Leslie LaFoy...don't you ever stop writing, you are talented, clever, and have definitly found your calling! Mindy

5.0 out of 5 stars Time travel as it was meant to be written, July 7, 1998
By A Customer
In 1817 Ireland, young lad Carreck des Marceaux stares into his mother's magical "dragon's heart "and learns that he will apparently be hung in 1832 by English soldiers. Stunned, he turns to his mother, a twentieth century traveler, for comfort. She offers none.

In 1977 Kansas, Glynn Muldoon rides her horse when a freak storm occurs. She takes a leap with the steed and lands in 1832 Ireland where she's promptly captured by the outlaw Carreck, better known as the Dragon. Carreck realizes that Glynn is from the future and is probably been brought here due to the mistake of his Aunt, who is nice but seems to have disk error in her mental electrodes. He takes Glynn with him as the Redcoats give chase. On their dangerous trek back to his mother who he hopes can make things right, the couple falls in love. However, this couple seems to be the victim of a cosmic joke as he has no future and she belongs in the future.

LADY RECKLESS, the sequel to the brilliant IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT, is a wonderful time travel romance that will delight fans of the sub-genre. The lead protagonists are a fun, humorous pair, especially since Carreck is used to time traveling females. The return of old favorites from the first novel adds much to the stupendous, swift story. Leslie LaFoy is clearly a pioneer, leading the pack of writing settlers into the next millennium.

What a fabulous read! Once I started reading, there was no putting it down. Fast paced action, compelling characters, and a wonderfully intricate plot. And suspense up until the very last page!! It just doesn't get any better than this. Congratulations, Ms. LaFoy! I'm your reader for life. Please give me more!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Galloping Good Book!, July 29, 1998
By A Customer
I'm a teenager just starting to read romance novels and "Lady Reckless" has me hooked. I kept getting in trouble for staying up too late reading it...I just couldn't put it down! Glynis Muldoon is a tough lady rancher and Carrick des Marceaux is an Irish outlaw who has seen his death by hanging in his mother's ruby brooch: the magic Dragon's Heart. It's magic gone wrong that ends up magic gone right that lands Glynis (and her horse) in Ireland in 1832. These two have attitude with a capital "A" and when they get together the sparks really fly. I love the way Leslie LaFoy tells a story. Her first book, "It Happened One Night", was my first romance novel. Alanna and Kiervan from that book are Carrick's parents and up in Lady Reckless to help get everything straightened out. This book is really exciting and really funny and really romantic... just don't read it at night, 'cos you'll never get any sleep!
