Just picked this up a used cd shop on a whim, and it is a great mix. Good selection of singers and songs. Well recorded, good sound depth, warmth, and separation. Even a selection by Billie Holliday that I like, and I am not really a fan of her voice. The Ella Summertime recording is also beautiful. That's what made me come online-to figure out what orchestra and label, etc. that song was from-I'd like to get the whole album from that series.
Btw, all nice mellow music showcasing the female vocals more than anything. But with very nice accompaniment as well. I like it.

Have played this over and over. Lots of great artists and great songs. Definitely a keeper and one I don't get tired of hearing.
