This is one of the best books I purchased for my toddler thus far. It has stunning illustrations; the material is simple and useful - I learned a lot about lady bugs, which I didn't know. And let's face it, what kid doesn't love those critters?

I mostly bought the book for the life cycle of the ladybug. I was teaching summer camp (ages 6-8) and needed something with large, simple, colorful pictures and this book fit the bill. The Children LOVED the overlays & enjoyed looking at the pictures. It is not what I would call a "baby book". If the explination is too simple then show the pictures and elaborate. Great little book! After reading the ladybug section we went outside & released ladybugs! What a day!

A great addition to your child's home library that's filled with fun facts and pictures about ladybugs. You gotta' love 'em!

If you and your child like ladybugs as much as I do, I'd like to recommend the children's picture book, Ladybug Baby Bug, by Janice and Mark Perkins, for it's loveable ladybug family illstrations.
