Product Description

A Taste Of Golden Sunshine In Every Morsel. The delicious and enticing orchard flavors of sweet apricots, tempting raisins and tangy cranberries are added to the Nutri-Berries nutrition for a healthy nugget your bird will find irresistible. Maximum Nutrition. Minimum Waste. Veterinarian recommended Nutri-Berries are the most fun-to-eat, easy to accept food ever made. These nutritious nuggets have the shape birds naturally enjoy and a balanced, superior source of nutrition with an irresistible taste and aroma. Better Health For Your Bird. Proper nutrition is critical to the good health and long life of your parakeet, cockatiel, lovebird, or conjure. Nutri-Berries were formulated by Dr. T. J. Lafeber and an avian nutritionist for that very reason. They contain only nutritious natural ingredients like cracked corn, peanuts and safflower blended with raisins, apricots and cranberries, rolled into berry-shaped pieces and coated with vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and protein. Minimize Leftovers and Mess. Your bird will thrive on the stimulation and beak exercise Nutri-Berries provide. Nutri-Berries were designed to change your bird's bad eating habits, like picking out some seed and ignoring the others. Nutri-Berries are actually 96% eaten, meaning more nutrition for your bird and less waste on the floor for you.

Ballou is our one year old Quaker parrot who eats fresh food, pelleted diet and NutriBerries as treats. I usually save them as a once a day treat and also give them to him when he is stressed....travelling, molting, etc. They are to him what a "binky" is to our children. They are also healthy given in moderation. One bit of advice I received from the LaFeber company. Give less rather than more and you will waste less. Although this may sound obvious, if Ballou get's one at a time, he will find all the goodies in his bowl that fell while eating the Berry before moving on to berry #2 thus wasting less.

These JUST arrived, and I put them out for Boo-and she went CRAZY for them! She's a Senegal, and she LOVES to toss EVERYTHING over the edge of her cage-so I broke them up. I will DEFINITELY re order them-she just loves them!

At the recommendation of my avian vet several years ago - I switched my cockatiel's diet from regular bird seed mixes to Lafeber's Nutri-Berries (several flavors). He seems to really enjoy these as well as the Classic Nutri-Berries and Avi-Cakes, which offers a variety to him. He is a healthy and active 10 y.o. cockatiel and I hope these products will help him stay that way.

the Cockatiel ...well-not so much! Sigh!
We'll try again in the Summer!

My birds love these treats and would throw a temper tantrum if they didn't get them every morning for breakfast! Excellent transaction with Amazon. Thank you, very much!

We had to stop giving these to our cockatiels as it gave them serious diarrhea. One bird had to see the vet and was on meds, not worth it.

I'm reviewing this product because we have been using it for five plus years and I have two very happy and healthy eight-year-old Cockatiels that dance impatiently as I open the bag to add a few of these treat berries to their treat bowl. When I first decided on this breed of bird, I did a lot of research on how to keep them healthy and happy! This is the treat that does just that. You do have to be careful when treating your birds, you don't want to give them anything that will shorten their life, add unwanted pounds or make them feel bad. You can feel good about giving your sweet birds this nutritious treat as it provides a balance of the Omegas, vitamins, and adds the fun of foraging for their mental health, which should not be neglected. Keeping your bird's mind stimulated prevents feather pulling and other bad habits. Need I say more :)

A bird is a funny thing to deal with. My Sun Conure does not like these if I put out a dish of them, but these are the ones he selects if I put these in with his otherwise favorite Nutri-berrys.

The senior bird pellets are as about as popular as sending an AARP card to a guy in his mid 50's, if you know what I mean.

I have to cut these in half as a sun conure is a small bird and he has trouble holding it. They say they are for Cockatiels, which are smaller birds, but Cockatiels haven't evolved to the point where they use their hands, so they don't hold the food while they eat it.

I have the choice of throwing away half of the food or cutting it into smaller pieces. Please make these smaller!
