Quality control issues,

This review is from: Lafuma Futura Clipper XL Mesh Recliner With Wood Arm, Black (Lawn & Patio)
Well, I loved this recliner...and had to send back both the original one sent as well as the replacement, as there was a problem with the coverage of powdercoating on the legs. I was told they were being pulled from Amazon's site after the second return and they have been. I hope Lafuma gets quality control taken care of--they are great chairs, but for the money spent for an outdoor chair, I'd expect all metal to be finished. It wasn't. Also, it came rattling about in a banged-up box, with no internal protection whatsoever. While I am not a fan of loads of packaging, the minimalist packing of this chair contributed to dings and scratches, some of them pretty significant, particularly on the first one I returned. I was pleased with Amazon's response--they said they wouldn't offer it again until what appeared to be an issue with quality was resolved.

Overall, we like this chair. Fully reclined it is very comfortable. The hand grip adjusters that are supposed to keep a personal reclining position are stiff and difficult to tighten, even now after a couple of months use. Hopefully they'll improve over time and with more use. Also we placed a 2"x4" under the front support bar to actually get feet higher than one's heart at full recline. The air circulates all around you and keeps you cool. Count us as happy campers.
