Lafuma LFS 2933 Walkid Baby Carrier is a sturdy baby carrier made of polycord material. Features include a continuous shoulder harness and ergonomic waist belt, a sternum strap, an adjustable seat with safety harness, storage pockets and a removable sun/rain hood. This pack holds a maximum of 40 pounds and has a volume of 325 cubic inches.

The Walkid's AB Back System allows for eight different adjustable settings, essentially guaranteeing a comfortable fit. Comes with removable sun/rain hood. A large stow pocket under the seat to store gear and food also fits the sun/rain hood when not in use. A smaller pocket on the top portion of the back is perfect for keys and cell phone. The entire textile portion of the Walkid is removable and can be hand washed. The Walkid has a collapsible free-standing frame so you can set the pack down on the ground without worrying about your child tipping over. The collapsible frame also makes this pack perfect for use while traveling because it folds to fit in an overhead compartment on standard airplanes.

A little wobbly, but I loved the look.
We ended up going with an ergo carrier - a fabric frameless backpack or side or front carrier which we love and use often.

WE LOVE THIS PACK! We had another brand for our older children, but when we tried this one we had to buy it! Comfortable for both us and out little boy! We even did a 1.5 hour Moderately Strenuous hike and we both stayed happy and comfortable the entire time (At the time he weighted about 31 lbs.). Lots of features too!

It's sad that one review about shipping problems can make a good product look so bad. I have loved this backpack. Hiking down steep grades in the sweltering desert heat? No problem. The whole time I hear my young un' singing somewhere behind me. That's the only reason I remember he's there! Everyone hiking with us wanted a turn riding in the shade but they were way over 40 pounds and I wasn't going to carry them!
