At first the shoe seemed more hiking boot like than running shoe, but after running on trails with them, I am very pleased. They are warm, but since I got them for winter running and trails. Very good traction off pavement. I like the funny lacing system too. Overall a tremedous value at $38.

Fit true to size, though a little on the narrow side (which is why I bought them). A bit heavy for trail running, but a great all-around outdoor/athletic shoe. Soles are much stickier than the Salomons they replaced. Lace system works well for a while, but the "grippers" stop gripping after a while. Not perfect, but I've bought three pairs in three years so they're pretty darn good.

I love the lacing system, the fit and finish was nice, the price was right, day glow oarnge was not necessary but okay. The shoes bottom show no wear but the bottoms are coming loose at the heels. I gorilla glued them back together. I am contemplating the ifs of LaFuma backing their product. No word from them after a couple days.

I almost always wear a men's 10-1/2 medium, so that's what I ordered here. The length is right, but even with both parts of the lace let all the way out, they're still too tight on my feet with thin socks (and I'd almost certainly be wearing thicker socks in the winter). The construction looks good, and they seem like they'd be comfortable, but I've found that non-leather shoes never really wear in, so I'm either going to have to return them for credit, or try a size 11. Matt Gross (the NYTimes Frugal Traveler, who recommended these) must have narrower feet than I do!

I just purchased this shoe. Great Fit, I like the duel cinch lace option. This feature really allows to get a custom fit around the foot. Great traction as well. Overall very pleased with this purchase.

Mostly a use as a work shoe, but I play golf in them, run around even bike. Great buy!

I sold this shoes for running. They are as gloves. They are just I was looking for.

It is a shame the shoes have this extremely bright orange aspect to them, but they are great shoes so far. They are comfortable. My feet sweat a bit in them, but that is to be expected with waterprof shoes. They will be a blessing with Ithaca's snowfall.

The unfixable lacing system was defective on all 4 pairs I bought (missing some of the holes). Finally, after a year, I figured out what to do: I cut the laces, re-laced them, and sew them together.

Coming back to the shoes, they are quite comfortable both for running and everyday walking. They barely show any wear/tear.

I have both colors. The black/red are ugly, but I love the grey/orange ones.

Here comes the (I swear true) punchline...

Three people, incl. 2 young girls, commented on my ugly black/red shoes how great they look. This was the first time ever in my life that anyone made a comment about my shoes. So, I guess, they must look "cool".
