The characters and plots of this series of book are outrageous. The characters are from Lagoonieville, a marina on St. Thomas (based on a marina not far from Red Hook I believe.) Caricatures of live-aboards, they embark on action-packed adventures in the Caribbean involving money, treasure and drugs. Even at their most improbable, the stories manage to stay just on the margin of believable, pulling you in. I have had a hard time putting down any of the books once I start, similar to a Tom Clancy story. And I do look forward to starting another book in the series.

Lagoonieville is the first of the series and a fun read.

Colorful characters with checkered pasts on a treasure hunt! Full of adventure & suspense! We love visiting St. Thomas our 2nd home and stumbled across the LagOOnieville books by total accident in one of the local stores. My whole family throughly enjoyed recognizing landmarks & locations in the book, however still trying to figure out where Dirty's is located. Looking forward to reading the whole series and our next trip!
