If You Wanna Ride, Ride The White Horse, July 17, 2005
This review is from: Laidest Greatest (Audio CD)
Boy this is one hard to find CD. I finally had to take a chance, and order it from Russia. I hope that this cd will soon be available in the USA. I could have done without a few songs, but nothing on the album is garbage. Favorite being White Horse- of course. Bakerman- is great also. Bakerman sounds like Lou Rawls and Prince on crack.... and Dire Straits playing back ground music.... Its not, but everytime I hear it, I get this picture in my head. Sunshine Reggae- is good (was a big hit in the UK). Maybe I'm Crazy - I wish the Rolling Stones had covered this one around the Tattoo You sessions (again my personal opinion). Abu Dhabi - I hated this one at first, but it is so annoying you like it after awhile. I Can't Live Without Love- nice tune. If your a big Electra-Funk fan, you will like- Groovie Train. Bet It On you- should have never made the cut. Tricky Kind of Thing- Awesome song. If you wish to hear samples of these songs, visit either Amazon UK or Canada. Good luck in finding a copy! If your a big Laid Back fan, I also suggest the combined CD of two albums they have - Keep Smiling & Hole In The Sky. This double cd is in ways better than Laidest Greatest. Slowmotion Girl, Don't Be Mean, Too Late To Worry, all good, and White Horse; Bakerman; and Sunshine Reggae can be found here. Only two problems, This 2-albums on one CD is even harder to find than the first one. Again, I had to chance it on giving my credit card number to Russia. Trust worthy people and crooks all over the world, but I'd still rather get cd's through Amazon. Second reason, this disc doesn't have - Tricky Kind of Thing, which won't be a big deal to most, but it's my favorite..... Besides White Horse of course.

I've been looking for this for the longest time. It's been 10 years since I've heard it, but I can still sing it. I'm also looking for the album "Keep Smiling"
