5.0 out of 5 stars French ambassador, November 12, 2003

I decide to write about tete for two reasons basically. First of all he's my favorite french artist, and second of all, he's from where I am from: Nacy, France. He's a brilliant guitar player as well as an extraordinary poet. For once, there's no cheesy/meaningless lyrics. This guy is gifted. He has an incredible voice and his music is really original. He can write funny lyrics, as well as sad songs. He also covered "Eleonor Rigby" by the Beatles...and even though his french accent can be spotted right away...it does a pretty good job. This album sometimes remind me of Ben Harper, even if he TeTe has his own style...Trust me and hit that one up!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Addictive ... a rare, great find!, December 28, 2007

ADDICTIVE ... That is the only word to describe the genius and magic of Tete's "L'air de rein." I was addicted early when I heard the music played as a gathering piece at a workshop I was attending. The true addictive power became evident when I purchased the CD for home use. Before long my wife and teenage sons were moved from "What's this?" to "Hey, let's put on that French thing." Take the risk and become addicted ... this is one of those great-find CD's that occur all too rarely.

Saw Tete playing live on German Television. Bought both albums. From a USA perspective, this is amazing music. Not really close but if you like Dave Matthews, John Mayor, guitar music with super human melodies and voicing, this is refreshing album. Just a word about the Amazon previews, they do not do the music justice - the real recording quality is so much fuller, you can't even here every instrament on these Amazon files.
