I am a bit biased as a lover and resident of Lake Atitlan, but I did want to recommend this book to anyone that is considering visiting here. It gives a detailed, but not heavy study of the history, geography, geology, and desciptions of all the towns surrounding Lago Atitlan. It is a quick read--I finished it in one day. It is not a tourist travel book in the sense of a Lonely Planet type book. Once again, recommended for anyone thinking of making a trip here.
