Bought these shoes for track (velodrome) training & racing. Liked the dial tensioned cable "lace" feature with the dial in the rear for aerodynamics. No buckles or flaps in front to catch the wind. Now that I have used them for several weeks, I really like the dial up feature. To loosen the cable, just pull the dial out. Push it in to dial the cable tension to suit. Quite comfortable when dialed in. Feel very secure, even when doing sprinting & other max efforts. The leather uppers are supple & the carbon sole is stiff & light. Would not hesitate to recommend them for velodrome use. JR

Search no further. Why the other shoe brands don't sell or advertise wide sizes, I can't figure out. There must be a ton of cyclists out there like me that don't like the usual tight fit of the racing road shoe.
