This CD is a series of piano chords and trills, which for me personally didn't have nearly the healing and transcendant effect of Mr. Halpern's Sound MEdicine: Music for Healing, which is much more synthesizer-y and (to my mind) cosmic - and which I love and listen to daily.

This is a series of songs with piano music layered over lake waves. Piano music is not usually my style, but this is a truly beautiful and expressive cd. I use it as relaxing background music while writing, reading and practicing yoga.

Steven Halpern is a truly gifted musician who creates transformative escapes into sound and this is one of the Inner Peace Music Nature Series CDs. Piano is blended effortlessly with the sound of gentle ripples on a shoreline, which can be even more relaxing than ocean waves.

Each CD has a perfect application, whether you are a massage therapist or want to relax deeply at any time of the day (yoga/meditation/sleep/stress reduction), there is a CD you will love. I find myself sinking into the depths of sleep while listening to this exquisitely composed musical journey. Steven's sense of timing within a world of tone, space, silence and time creates a piano perfection. His playing is more like piano artistry as he paints soundscapes for inner peace.
