5.0 out of 5 stars New Rock Book on Lake Superior Stones, October 28, 2008

This review is from: Lake Superior Rocks & Minerals: A Field Guide to the Lake Superior Area (Perfect Paperback)
Excellent pocket size guide for searching the Lake Superior region for rocks and minerals. Concise description with area map and color photos of each example. Multiple entries on Lake Superior Agates break this group up into an interesting sojourn of the Lake's shoreline. Many lesser known rocks and minerals are covered to make this a very complete guide in a smaller book size. Highly recommend this guide for both experts and beginners and the price is reasonable for the volume of information provided.

If you like to look for rocks in MN, this guide is a must. Great pictures of field specimins (unpolished) so you know what to look for... I am really happy with this book.
