Product Description

Product Description

This cozy, sit on the porch and enjoy a cool beverage glider, is one of Lakeland Mills best sellers. Made of northern white cedar and a by-product of making log cabins, has a contoured seat for comfort and heavy duty for years of wear. The backs and seats are fully assembled and only needs the sides and arms assembled. It should take you about 45 minutes and no special tools are required. The naturally pest and weather resistant white cedar can be left untreated where it will weather to a silvery grey finish or it can be stained.

Crafted from beautiful, aromatic cedar logs, this glider is perfect for wooded gardens or relaxed afternoons on the porch. Its wide seat is sized for two and features contoured, ample curves for comfort. The stunning cedar logs and slates are unfinished and can be sealed for protection or left bare. The glider comes partially assembled with screws for strength and durability, and full assembly only takes half an hour or so.

Went together easy, looks great, very comfortable, all that it says it is. My wife is very hard to please and I gave her this for mothers day, and she wants me to find more from this manufacturer! How can I say more?

I will say first- I love my two Lakeland gliders. I bought them both Summer of 2001. my father and I put them together but it took an afternoon to do it...not a mere hour. The directions were a bit ambiguous and the deep cracks in the wood...although natural and supposed to be there, I at first thought was a flaw. The holes were small and it was a "bit" difficult to get together, but once they are together, you know they will stay together. We used additional screws just to make sure. They glide wonderfully and we spent all Summer and Fall on our patio, enjoying the fire and gliding the hours away. The best surprise, they are supposed to age to grey but they still look practically brand new and Kansas winters are quite punishing. We have left them exposed to the elements and they still look beautiful. When I first opened that box and saw the split wood and the less than adequate instructions...and then had some difficulty in putting it together...well, I am just glad that I waited to write this review. They are true gems in my backyard and wouldn't give them away for anything....

The glider is an excellent product for the price. I bought this for my father who had to drill at least one extra hole however. That could be a problem for some and is contrary to the description given by Amazon.

I managed to get this together in an hour and a half. The only glitch was one of the glider straps hits against an oversize leg post in the glider frame. I whittled some of the wood away with a pocketknife (hey, it is supposed to look rustic, right?) and problem solved for the most part.
It probably won't fit well with the deck furniture we will eventually buy, but it is comfortable and good looking in a "Grampa's log cabin" sort of way.
