5.0 out of 5 stars Southern Comfort
This chair is great! Comfortable and relaxing and very sturdy. It's exactly what I was looking for in a backyard rocking chair. Definitely makes me want to have a glass of iced tea on hand.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hard to assemble
We own this. Bought it for our lake house. Also have the same chair without the rockers on it. It's a nice value but it took 4 hours to assemble. Assembly seems easy enough, but it's nearly impossible to get everything to line up right so that the chair rests flat on the floor. The same is true of the lounge chair. We struggled and struggled and finally had to drill one...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value, December 4, 2000

This is a very well-built chair. All screws, no nails - makes for a very solid feel. Put it together in less than 30 minutes if you have a beefy cordless screwdriver. Will require light sanding in some places to reduce splinter hazards. Also, the rough-hewn log construction will mean that rocking motion can be a little crooked, but not so bad as to be a problem.

Assembly seems easy enough, but it's nearly impossible to get everything to line up right so that the chair rests flat on the floor. The same is true of the lounge chair. We struggled and struggled and finally had to drill one of our own holes just to make the thing work. (And we have lots of experience in building and in assembling things.)

Great Value! The chairs are easy to put together, a little time consuming, but easy. Sanding is definately necessary, we used medium, then light grain sand paper to finish. We also sealed the chairs with a polyurethane coat. When looking around for outdoor sturdy chairs we found these to be a great value and very comfortable.

4.0 out of 5 stars My parents love it!, October 17, 2000

I bought a pair of these for my folks on their anniversary. They're sturdy, natural-looking, and are comfortable to kick back in. Assembly is pretty easy, although not all that fast, and they do occasionally have splinters. Once it's weathered a bit, though, they are great to lounge in and birdwatch or read or just enjoy the sun.

I was very pleased at how quickly it was shipped! My husband is very handy and had the chair assembled in 30 mins. tops. He did have to drill two holes which were not provided. He assembled using only a good strong cordless drill. I wish it would rock back a bit further, but I was informed a slight adjustment will solve that probelem. The wood is very nice and the seat is not very deep. GREAT for us short legged people. The chair sits very nice. I feel it is a great value. I'm looking forward to getting the glider to match!

I bought two for my wife and she loved them. Her best friend has also fallen in love with them. She will most likely get them for Christmas. Fairly easy to assemble. A light polyurethane stain enhances their beauty.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT CEDAR ROCKER, September 10, 2002

THIS IS A GREAT STURDY CEDAR ROCKER WELL WORTH THE MONEY. TOOK ABOUT 45 MINUTES TO ASSEMBLE. THEN I PUT A COAT OF THOMPSON WATER SEALER. I'VE HAD IT OUT ON MY FRONT PORCH NOW ABOUT 8 MONTHS AND IT LOOKS AS GOOD AS THE DAY I PUT IT OUT THERE. NOW I HAVE JUST PURCHASED THE CEDAR LOG GLIDER TO MATCH. I'M SURE I'LL ENJOY THAT JUST AS MUCH AS THE ROCKER. :)

This beautiful cedar rocker is so comfortable and smells fantastic! A sturdy, easy-to-assemble mountain cabin or garden seat that stands up to the weather. It will be around forever. I've got two in my city garden and I love them.
