I saw these at my sons (9 months old) ECFE class and we went out and got them for his upcoming birthday, he loves them so much! I only wish they were sold individually because I did not like all of them included the 10 pack, so some are being gifted to his older cousin (thus the 4 stars). The super spiky harder one has not been a problem, he has never hurt himself on them. In fact, that one is actually his favorite to chew on as he is teething right now. They offered to blow them up when we bought them in store, but we declined to save space when packaging them as gifts.

Not what I expected. I purchased this toy for my 9 month old grandson. The majority of the balls arrived flat. You have to use a pump and blow them up. Also, two of the balls were extremely hard with spikes. I feel these balls could actually hurt a small child's tender skin. I would not recommend this toy.
