I am looking for a replacement for this fan as it has finally broken down after more than 5 years of constant use. (I can't remember when I bought it, only that I moved with it five years ago.) I sleep with it every night as white noise to block out the normal apartment building noises while I sleep. I love it because it is so much quieter than the average box fan. For the price, I can't imagine finding a fan that would last as long.

I ordered a 20" box fan this morning and, through some sort of mixup, I got confirmation for a fan model that I did not order.

This seller was exceptionally prompt in returning my phone call and quickly confirmed the cancellation of my order -- even though the order had already gone to SHIPPING SOON status. Most vendors will be friendly when motivated by a sale. These folks were gracious even though they lost the sale.

I'm one of those people who can't sleep without a little white noise, and so beside the nice breeze my Lakewood fan gives off, I appreciate the quiet little hummm that helps keep me sawing logs thru the night. Other fans put out too much noise, but the Lakewood on low speed is just right.

The Lakewood 101 fan, is a really simple cheap box fan. It does what it claims to do. Nothing too fancy. If it lasts through this summer I'll be satisfied.

This fan would be good for a bedroom and an office. It is very quiet on all three speeds. For some reason the fan is not very powerful but it works fine. I have to put it on medium or high for it to really work. Ace hardware is a lot cheaper because you don't have to pay shipping. It is a good thing that it is cheap!

The company sent a different brand of the item they advertised. I called the company to tell them we received something different and they said that brand was no longer in stock. I asked them to please remove that item so other buyers don't think that is available too.
