5.0 out of 5 stars Heater Test, September 29, 2009
By
This review is from: Lakewood 792/S/GSA 750/1500 Watt Fan Forced Utility Heater (Kitchen)
After reading the previous review I was curious about this heater. I pulled it out of the box and plugged it in.
I couldnt tell it was doing anything. I turned the control knob and I could hear an audible click, and the fan came on blowing heat out the front. I have the heater set on low or 750 watts.
I have an infared temperature gauge so I pointed it at the front of the heater.
I was reading 130 to 140 degrees coming out at low.
I turned the control to full on high and moved the power switch to high which is 1500 watts and after a moment took another measurement. Temperature was 180 to 200 degrees.
Fan force is not real high but still it blows out heat and I could feel it at about 15 inches away from the grill area. High fan force tends to cool down the heater so thats probably why its set at this speed.
Ive left it running for an hour with no noticeable change in performance.
I suspect the other reviewer simply had a defect that should have been exchanged. I believe that all companies who partner with Amazon will replace any defect units of any kind.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy, September 9, 2009
This review is from: Lakewood 792/S/GSA 750/1500 Watt Fan Forced Utility Heater (Kitchen)
First of all, they advertised 2-day delivery, and it took almost a week. I was totally disapointed with this purchase. It did not blow hot air, just luke warm, and it only operated when the button was turned to "HIGH". All past tnat counter-clock wise was completely, dead, the fan did not even attempt to oscillate. Besides that, it was advertised as a $77 dollar something for $29 something, which is why I bought it, and thought that I was getting a good deal, with good heat for my office. That is a negative. Quite a disapointment, and by the way it has the audacity to have two power strenghths, 750w and 1500w, and operates more like 10w and 15w,and that is pushing it. Totally disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then, have the nerve to call it a utility heater. I am in the Market for a good heater for my office. I think i will check out Lowes or Walmart, rather than fool with Amazon.com
