5.0 out of 5 stars Great Heater but check with Ace supplier for 8330 Model #
I really like my Lakewood 8320 Ultra-Quiet 19-Inch 300-Watt Tower Heater with Carbon Fiber Technology which is rated at 300 Watts. You might think that the 300 watts is not going to be enough heat for most rooms, and you'd probably be wrong. I estimate that it produces much more heat than my other "600 Watt" portable fan-type heater, yet it is totally silent, less...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as described: no 200 watt setting
The heater is great, but like the other review says, there's no 200 watt setting, only an ON/OFF for the 800 watt setting. I was hoping to conserve energy with the 200, so I'm a little disappointed about that.

This review is from: Lakewood 8330 Ultra-Quiet 30-Inch Dual-Power 200/800-Watt Tower Heater with Carbon Fiber Technology (Kitchen)
I estimate that it produces much more heat than my other "600 Watt" portable fan-type heater, yet it is totally silent, less bright than the infrared dish heaters and it does not produce any odors like ceramic and oil heaters are famous for. Just check with the Ace Hardware outlet supplier before buying or wait for Amazon to get the 8330 back in stock. I would estimate that the heat output from the 800 Watt setting on it would be equivalent to approxomately 2000 Watts on a ceramic or other type of heater--and you save carbon and the do the environment and your electric bill a favor!

Replaced a quartz heater, fan forced ceramic, and oil filled with this SUPER quiet heater. Quieter than the quartz (they buzz for a second on start up). Obviously quieter than a fan unit! Faster response than oil filled.
Uses only 800 watts instead of 1500 like others. A huge advantage in both reduced power usage and stess on the cord, plug, etc. This unit only pulls ~6.6 amps instead of 12.5 for 1500W (most likely your home outlets/wiring are only rated for 13/15 amps max...so 1500W is pushing it!).
This heater puts out as much heat as our other 1500W heaters!
The carbon fiber techology is awesome and a much better technology than the others.
I am ordering another one today, so that tells you whether I recommend it or not!
The seller and packaging were good too.
The only issue is mentioned in the other reviews. It has only one switch and only one setting. No problem for me, especially since it is only 800W.

I purchased a Lakewood 8330 heater last year and am using it for the second winter. This is a great space heater. It provides wonderful radiant heat at a very low cost. It has only one setting, not two as described, but don't let that deter you from buying it! I will be buying a second one this year!!!

There is only one heat setting. It is called "ON". The description is incorrect. The one I received from Amazon doesn't have anyway to switch between 200 and 800 watts.
