Lakewood Organic PURE Blueberry Juice - Package Contains SIX 32oz Bottles

My local health food store has these for $6.89 a bottle... $6.89 x 6 is $41.34, cheaper than the $45.84 directly from the manufacturer, and that isn't even counting the insane $25 shipping cost.

Now of course, my local health food store probably isn't anywhere near you, but my point is, ordering this product online seems quite pointless, especially factoring in the shipping, unless you live in the middle nowhere. Considering this is direct from the manufacturer themselves, you'd think the price would be something reasonable.

As for the juice, it's quite delicious, and I try to have several glasses a week.

I initially bought this blueberry juice as a potential grape juice substitute. I wanted something a little less sweet and not at all like the overly concentrated grape juice sold in stores. This juice certainly lived up to my expectations. It's delicious, and I really appreciate the health benefits. The bottles all come very well packed in safe, sturdy packaging. I am very pleased with this company and product.

Blueberries have been touted as a heart healthy fruit, and there is some evidence that they may help you fight cancer. This study is the first human trial to look at the effects of blueberry supplementation on memory.

The results are very encouraging although it is a small study -- it compared nine older adults against a control group of seven older adults, whose average age was 76, and who had age-related memory decline, like forgetfulness and memory lapses, and were at risk for dementia.

The trial group drank from 2 to 2 1/2 cups of wild blueberry juice a day for 12 weeks. Participants avoided berries, cherries, grapes, pomegranates, grape juice, or wine to make sure that only blueberry juice was affecting the results.

Participants took pre and post tests that measured their memory function; the Verbal Paired Associate Learning Test (V-PAL) and the California Verbal Learning Test (CVLT). The blueberry juice definitely improved their memories. The blueberry group's V-PAL cumulative learning test scores went from 9.3 points to 13.2 points. The scores on CVLT word list recall improved from 7.2 points to 9.6 points.

In addition, the blueberry juice drinkers had reductions in their depression symptom scores, and their fasting glucose levels.

It appears that anthocyanins (the polyphenols in blueberries) are not only anti-inflammatory, but they help to help people excrete excess glucose, which is known to damage the brain.

100% blueberry juice is well worth considering for OFs like myself. I've found it exceedingly difficult to find wild blueberry juice, and have settled for the domesticated versions if the wild juice is unavailable.

This product is delicious and is often available in our area in Whole Foods and Fairway stores. The Lakewood website and especially the sales group can give you lists of local sources that stock the product. Of course, it's possible to order online directly from Lakewood, but shipping costs are a significant factor.

This juice is very flavorful. It is not sweetened, so don't be surprised by the taste. I would recommend it.

This IS the best organic pure blueberry juice. I wish all the juice where pure. try this you will love it. I put it in a wine glass and nobody knows, Im not drinking wine.

The quality and taste of this pure juice was wonderful, though the product was pricey. Used to make gourmet ice creams and gelatos which all at the Family Reunion truly enjoyed to cap off a great slow smoked meats and bbq feast. This along with the black cherry and pomegranate pure juices were a great and indispensable asset to make the deserts. Thank you from the chef and all the family!
