I found this book a very loving and joyous celebration of Lakshmi. The scholarship was definitely top rate, but just as important to me, the author had a real relationship to Lakshmi. The illustrations are beautiful and really help explain the different dimensions of the goddess's activity and importance.

First of all, the photos and paintings and calendar prints are enough to make this an art book! Absolutely stunning collection at your fingertips most in color! Also, theres loads of traditional, newer, and ancient oral tales of this aspect of the mother goddess, Lakshmi. It is just beautiful. I cant say much more. Ive had this book for awhile and realized I never gave it a review! Its wonderful! Do get it! (I got mine from a seller on here--Nataraj Books--who sells it for about 13 bucks and brand new!) JAI LAKSHMI!

This is a great book and was recommended to me by someone proficient on ancient deities. Very detailed info about Goddess Lakshmi; a lot of need to know information.

Also beautiful color paintings and photos of Lakshmi and other deities. Great book to have in your collection if you are fond of Goddess Lakshmi or want to learn about Hindu Religion and Deities.
