Famed for its long and resilient fibers Lotka creates an extremely durable paper with a subtle sheen and a smooth surface which will accept most drawing media. Each Lama Li journal is hand crafted by Nepalese village co-operatives that benefit directly from your purchase.Lama Li Classic Leather books are made with soft brown leather covers. Each book is stitch bound to lay flat when in use. They feature a wrap-around leather tie to keep the book closed when not in use. The smaller journals have 100 pages per book; the large soft photo and keepsake album has 24 pages. Handmade in Nepal.

I bought this to take along on a five week trip, rather than lugging my much larger and heavier journal. This is perfect. It easily fits in a purse or even coat pocket, it's lightweight, and the pages have a wonderful organic feel. One suggestion, gel pens seem to write more easily on the pages rather than ballpoint.

If you have ever considered journaling, I highly recommend this journal. It has a classic look and feel, as well as a sturdy construction. I have two that I use while traveling with my family. I plan on purchasing more to make sure I have enough writing space for years to come.
