Lamaze: Freddie the Firefly

We bought this for our daughter when she was just a couple months old. We showed her many different toys while shopping but this is the only one we got a reaction to. She loved it instantly.

We usually keep this toy reserved for when we go out. It has allowed us to eat peacefully at restaurants several times. Our daughter loves playing with the very colorful, crinkley wings, looking at the little mirror, and chewing on the teether. Freddie jingles when you shake him and there's also a squeeker in one of his wings.

An added bonus -- he's washer/dryer friendly. We've washed and dried (on low heat) Freddie several times and he still looks like new.

When we received Freddie as a gift at a baby shower, I was skeptical, to say the least. The sight of this firefly alone was enough to destroy my attention span, I thought--Freddie has bright colors and tons of activities, and he makes different sounds (crinkling, clinking, and squeaking).
But my son, who is now about four months old, loves Freddie. It melts my heart to see the smile on his face when he catches sight of his firefly friend. They have great times together; my son loves the crinkling of Freddie's wings, the sight of that happy green face, the feel of a rectangular teething link in his mouth (it's harder for him to position links that are ovals), and every wonderful feature Freddie has to offer.
I'm excited about upcoming Freddie-related events--like squeaker mastery, ladybug discovery, and mirror exploration. Who knew that a hyperactive firefly who looks like a butterfly could be so much fun?

This toy is great! It has so much to do on it. Each one of the legs makes a noise (crinkles, rattles, squeaks etc) There is a mirror that the baby can lift to look at himself. Plus, there's a plus pocket on one wing that holds a teether that will dangle. Plenty of teethers/rings. We love this toy because it is bright, colorful and contains so many things to do! Highly recommended.

Our little 6-month old granddaughter loves this toy and we would rate it a "10" if we could! We were at a baby shower when Freddie was introduced to us. Our little one was being fussy and Freddie put an end to that. Her favorite thing is to chew on the antennas. She loves the rings to bite on (since she is teething) and loves the crinkling noise - brings on the giggles! We just returned from a weekend trip and Freddie was a true "buddy" in the car! All we heard was the crinkling of the wings and some sucking noises - but Freddie still had his antennas when we arrived at our destination 3-hours later! Freddie has earned all the "frequent flyer miles" he will ever need - and we will NEVER leave home without him!

My daughter has had this toy since she was 3 months old. She LOVES this toy - it is absolutely her favorite. We don't go anywhere without it. Often, I hear her chewing or sucking on it when I am driving in the car. I know she is having fun because all I hear is crinkle, crinkle, crinkle from his wings.

This toy is GREAT! My 3 month old daughter loves Freddie!We were at BabiesRUs looking for something else when my crying 2 month old (at the time)saw Freddie and went silent. Even still she will sit and play with this bug for 20 minutes at a time. The squeaky wing quiets her when she's mad. The crunchy wings and loops give her something to hold onto. Its the only hand held toy that keeps her attention for more than 2 minutes. Older children(4 months up to 2yrs old)who have seen this toy at our house are just as intrigued.
I recently dropped it in dirty slushy snow and it washed perfectly clean in the machine. This toy is well worth the money. We will likely purchase additional animals from this series.

This toy is great! My daughter has had it since she was about 2 1/2 months old and now she is almost 6 months old and she loves it! It is by far her favorite toy. There is plenty of things for her to explore and chew on. It is machine washable, which is my favorite part! Highly recommend!!

My husband bought Freddy for our (then 4 month old) daughter because he showed it to her and she latched on to him and wouldn't let go. She loves the vivid colors and the sounds and sensations that comes from every touch, grab, stroke and crew she gives Freddy. We think this is a great toy and we do not leave home without it, thanks to the handy clip that is on most Learning Curve/Lamaze toys.

My daughter loves this toy - I actually got this from another mom and she had never used it, so I took the advice of one of the mom's reviews on here and washed Freddie. He washed so well! And now my daughter will not let go of him. He's a safe teething toy too. Great for the car.

We received this as a gift. Our daughter loved it. Great infant toy. She gnawed on this poor thing until she was 15 months old and it still looks good. Easy to clean with damp cloth.
