Our 3 month old daughter loves looking at this - the bright colors esp. Whenever she gets agitated, we show her this book, and she quitens down immediately! She in fact reaches out and flips the pages, though I'm pretty sure she isn't aware of what she is actually doing. All in all, a great buy. P.S. - the book doesnt have audio sounds, just pictures of animals and the sound they make.

I got this as a baby shower gift. My son was only 3 months old when he started to look at the pics in the book. He loved looking at the pics. He is now 16 months old and this book is still his favorite. I just ordered another one for him. Very well made.

This book is super cute! Each page has a different number of baby animals (up to 10). It is also interactive as there are flaps to lift up on each page. My 9 month old enjoys this book, although she tries to pull the flaps off instead of up. She hasn't succeeded yet, but I can see the flap seams are weakening. The pages themselves are very thick, like twice as thick as normal board books. However, the edges of the cover are already scuffed after only a couple days of use, so I imagine this book won't stay looking new for long. I would recommend taking a look at the gift set. When I purchased it, it was only a couple dollars more than the book alone. Lamaze Counting Zoo Gift Set

I am really impressed with this book. It is a bit larger than most board books. It has bright, super colorful pictures and very simple text contrasting big and small. My 7 month old is mesmerized by the colors and patterns and I enjoy sharing the book with him, making up stories or pointing out the big and small along the way. The beauty is in the simplicity and the terrific illustrations of this book. I will be looking for more Lamaze books in the future!

Alittle overpriced in my opinion. Heavy pages and great little book. Too pricey for what it is.
Actually thought there was sound with it. Would like to have seen the inside before buying.

Our baby loves this book. True, it's not very long, and it doesn't "make" sounds. Each page has a picture of an animal, the spelled word of the animal, and the spelled sound the animal makes. It doesn't make the sounds for you, that's your job. "See the CAT? The cat says, "MEOW." I started reading this book to my baby at 4 months old. At five months our baby was actively touching the animals and turns the pages. The pages are super thick (thicker than typical board books) and can't be easily damaged. I will be ordering another one of these.

My 7 month old LOVES this book. He sees it sitting on the table and grins and has to have it. We read it most nights before bed, and he likes to push the flaps back. He will even lay on his tummy and look at the pictures all by himself, always with a smile. I am really surprised how happy a book can make a little guy.

This is a cute book, but I was expecting real sounds with it. It has the picture of the animal and written sound that it makes, but doesn't have a press button to hear the sound.

My daughter is now 13 months old and has had the Farm Sounds book since she was 5 months old. Still have favorite! It is a heavy duty board book and she is really good at turning the pages. She'll just sit there and "read" the book by herself for like 10 minutes at a time. When we read it together and I make the animals sounds, she has learned to expect it and looks up to me to hear mommy's funny sounds. She thinks it's pretty funny. We also have The World of Eric Carle: Around the Farm Sound Book which is a very good book for animal sounds but she has a hard time pushing these buttons herself. Both are great options, but we always travel with this Lamaze book. Would highly recommend.
