Best Sleep Bra for Nursing,

I was looking for a cotton sleep bra for nursing. After reading many of the negative reviews, I was hesitant to buy this bra but decided I would go ahead and try it anyway. I am so glad I did!
I am a size 38D and have not experienced any problems with being a larger size. I use the nursing pads with a sticky back which probably helps them stay in place. I can lay on my sides and the bra supports them well. The fabric is definitely of higher quality than other sleep bras. I've worn the Medela and the Fancee Free sleep bras for nursing and this Lamaze is by far the best. The Medela fabric was too thin and had scratchy lace on the sides and the Fancee Free (similar in design to the Medela but again, better fabric) runs large in sizing. I'm guessing this bra doesn't work with the shells (which I too use in the first few weeks of nursing) because it's not made to be used with them. I wear a more supportive bra at night until my milk levels off and there is no more need for the shells (usually about the third or fourth week). I haven't washed it yet but another reviewer says it shrinks so I will probably just let it hang dry. Over all this is an extremely comfortable bra which makes it very easy to nurse in at night.

This is perfect for what I wanted it for - a sleep/around the house bra. Fit is great, I did order a size bigger than what I would normally think I would be so it's not tight (Medium). Very soft, great fit for smaller bust (B/C) and would recommend over lalecheleague/medela/motherhood sleep bras which all had some itch to the bands. This does not and is also 2 layers which is nice and not quite so thin. Will be ordering more!!

This bra is very soft and comfy! No worries about underwire digging in, especially when breastfeeding. Don't let the spandex scare you off - there is just enough to make it stretch, but not enough to make you look like you are wearing a 1980's retro piece. I like that I can just pull the cup back without snaps, latches, or hooks and breastfeed with ease. My only issue is that sometimes the cups seem to shift on me a bit, which makes "containment" an issue, but that could just be because I ordered a bigger size than usual because my breast size changes daily :) Great product at a great price!

Better than Medela and Motherhood sleep bras,

I have now tried 3 different sleep nursing bras: Medela, Motherhood, and Lamaze. The Lamaze is definitely the best, both in quality and support. The Medela was made of thin fabric, ran very small, and had little support. It seemed more like a training bra than a nursing bra! The Motherhood wrap bra was cheaply constructed (also thin cotton fabric), and also not supportive at all. It was also loose and baggy in the straps, and not supportive enough to hold nursing pads in place. The Lamaze bra was the last bra that I tried, and it was exactly what I was looking for! It is comfy enough for sleep, but supportive enough to hold nursing pads in place. The 95% cotton 5% spandex blend gives it breathability, but enough shape to not be flimsy. One note, I agree with another reviewer that the black runs smaller than the white. The white seems true to size, while the black seems to run small. I suggest ordering a size up in the black.

There really needs to be a sizing guide for this bra. I think it would have been okay if it fit. I'm a 38-40 B and the large was too tight. Just thought I'd put that out there for anyone looking to gage what size to buy.

Black is great, grey has no support,

I have the black Lamaze sleep bra in XL and like it a lot -- it's not perfect, but much more comfortable than the Medela sleep bra that I tried. I ordered a second one in "heather grey" and was completely disappointed. The black bra is elastic-y and pretty supportive. The gray one just feels like thick t-shirt cotton -- very soft, but not the least bit supportive. I returned the gray one and ordered a second one in black. So 3 stars -- because I'd give the black one a 4 or 5, but the grey is a 1. I was disappointed by how different the two bras were, given that it's the same item in two different colors.

This sleep bra was exactly what I was looking for. I had returned the Medela sleep bra as they were not as comfortable and actually felt cheaper in material than this bra. The fit also was better for me around the rib cage as it sat straight all around and did not pull-up in the back as the Medela one did - I'm small chested, but have needed to expand to a 36 around the ribs during pregnancy. This is a simple, T-shirt material sleep bra - and as the name implies, you can't expect to get a whole lot of support out of it, but it helps to have something on and keeps nursing pads in place through the night while being comfortable. As for sizing, I think it is fairly true to whatever size you are normally purchasing through pregnancy. I've gone a size-up than what I normally wear in sport bras, so this worked well in choosing a Medium over a Small.

I love this bra. It fits and feels more like a sports bra (though I doesn't give enough support to run). I use it during the day and have a different sleeping bra that has less support for at night. But I don't like a super tight fitting bra while breast feeding.
I'm not large chested (34B or C before pregnancy). I suspect that if you were large chested this would make a better sleeping bra than an everyday bra. I found it ran a little smaller than I expected (perhaps because my ribcage enlarged with pregnancy and hasn't gone back) and I'm wearing a size large. I've had one for about 5 months and it's kept it's shape well unlike other brands of sleeping bras that I've tried. I do air dry my bras since I find they all lose their shape and stretchiness when dried in the dryer.

I found that I needed a sleep bra to keep all the stuff inside, whether it is breast pads against leakage or my "booby tubes" for cushioning or even the gel liners, this bra holds it in well. I usually order small in tops, but I got medium and it fits perfectly, I was a 34D before and now am more like a 34DD/E or 36E now. The rubber band at the bottom can leave a bit of indentation in the skin, but nothing too bad. Also, easy enough to breastfeed without taking it off, works well pulling it to the side, it stays and does not hurt to do that. Overall good product.

This is my go to nursing bra. It is incredibly comfortable with no wires, straps, or seams that dig in. It offers light support that is enough for me to wear it out of the house. Nursing in it is easy and just requires pulling down the top of the bra. Sizing is pretty accurate. I am a large 36C or small 36D and the medium fits well but is slightly snug, and the large would probably work also but would not have as much support.
