The "soft" vanilla scent is an allergy irritant and overpowering. The chemical used gets everywhere, and is impossible to get rid of. I can't imagine is good for any child to breathe. It is definitely not vanilla.

The tunes part is cute, and made our baby laugh when we tried it. I would have loved an unscented version of the toy.

This was a gift to me. While this is cute, my daughter was never strong enough to make the feet play music when it was age appropriate for her. Now that she is older, she can make it play, but loses interest quickly because the toy is suited for a much younger baby. Also, the smell is really gross and goodness knows, like most artificial smells, it's toxic. Apparently scented candles, air fresheners, and sprays are in the top five worst toxins you can bring into your house in terms of neurological damage. As bad as the BPAs we would never let our child touch!

I purchased the first Elephantunes for my granddaughter when she was months old, and since I take care of her during the days and drive around with her a lot,I keep it in the car. She rarely fails to be entertained by it. Now that he's older she plays the legs, still giving the broad grin when she first sees it.
I just purchased two more for baby gifts through Amazon because of baby girl's grinning recommendations.

This cute little guy is bigger than I thought it would be. But still cute. We do not have our baby yet, but I can not believe a baby could push the tips of his legs and make them squeak. But the ears make a crinkle noise when you rub them and it is very cute.

Bought this before daughter was born...then found out one of the legs didn't work. She shows no interest in it and friends who have seen it are just as unimpressed. Bummer for this purchase! Two stars for cuteness...
