5.0 out of 5 stars Great for baby - and parents, too!
Our seven-week-old loves this. First, the visuals are hypnotic (at least to her). She loves watching the display cycle through the four seasons and the effect seems to soothe her.

The volume on the built-in music that comes with this is on the loud side, I guess, but everything I've ever read has told me that babies are used to noise (womb noise is louder...

2.0 out of 5 stars Too loud, no volume control
I have a 2 year old who I thought this would be perfect for. She likes soothing things to help her go to sleep. But this is not soothing. It is so loud that she can't fall asleep to it and there is no way to lower the volume. I suppose if I hooked an mp3 player up to it that I could adjust the volume on the mp3 player itself, but haven't tried it yet.
She rarely...

Our seven-week-old loves this. First, the visuals are hypnotic (at least to her). She loves watching the display cycle through the four seasons and the effect seems to soothe her.

The volume on the built-in music that comes with this is on the loud side, I guess, but everything I've ever read has told me that babies are used to noise (womb noise is louder than a vacuum cleaner) so I never thought it would keep our little one from falling asleep - and it hasn't.

Meanwhile, the MP3 feature is very cool, and I made a special mix on my iPod just for our baby to listen to as she falls asleep. When you use your own MP3 player or iPod, you can adjust the volume as high or low as you'd like it because the volume on your device controls the volume on the toy.

I think other parents (and babies) would enjoy this product.

She rarely uses it (just when she and her sister are playing house).
Oh and it makes a whirring and clicking sound as the scene moves. Real annoying.

3.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, November 1, 2009

The battery is a big bulky thing that connects to the screen through the bars and with any amount of tugging on the screen the battery falls right off onto the floor. The screen also shakes and doesnt run smoothly. Not at all the quality I was expecting.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!, April 27, 2008
This review is from: Lamaze Dream Screen (Toy)
My son absolutely loves this thing. I do have to say there is one down side to this. If you have a sleigh crib with the back that curves not the sides. You have to put this on the side where you let your bar up and down. Not only does it look tacky but it's not functional there. Also, sometimes you have to tap it a little hard to get it to turn on again (with new batteries). But my son loves to watch this so I would have to say all in all it's worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Does not fit non-conventional cribs, July 21, 2008
This review is from: Lamaze Dream Screen (Toy)
The product is ok, but it doesn't fit my baby's crib (it has really thick, round horizontal top rails). Also, when you plug in the iPod, the volume is too low.

I love this and my baby does too. The music is not annoying at all but I wish that you could play the "daytime" song all the way through without pulling the bug at the bottom if you could I would give this 5 stars.

The motor that rotates the pictures around is super loud and clankity-sounding ... so is the music. Not impressed. I returned mine.

This is an excellent way to keep your baby entertain, the screen has bright colors, I personally have an mp3 player hooked up to it, and my son listens to baby einstein as he stares @ the screen

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Cool, March 24, 2011

Overall, I like this product. My daughter smiles everytime I turn it on, so that is what ultimately matters to me. The music is a bit loud, but I saw a tip in a magazine to put tape over the speaker- so I tried it and it helped! I love the mp3 player option too. So cool. It plays for a reasonable amount of time, enough for my little one to fall asleep. I like the look as well. I give it 4 stars.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wish this fit the crib!!, July 22, 2010
This review is from: Lamaze Dream Screen (Toy)
As a consumer has already stated, this product does not fit thick railed cribs. My 12 week old son loves the songs and finds the animation of the screen soothing, but I need to supervise his useage of it as I do not feel comfortable with only the battery pack securing it to the crib. Total bummer as we do love it besides that!
