5.0 out of 5 stars its not annoying!!
I try to avoid all battery operated toys because I find them loud, obnoxious and annoying. This toy is one of the few exceptions. The music is pleasant and not too loud. My baby got this toy at six months, but it was around 8 months that she began loving it. Its easy to get the music going by batting the flower heads plus there are many engaging textures to explore...

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't hold baby's interest
I think this toy is really cute and fun. I purchased it for my now 9 month old daughters for Christmas. They don't really play with it much and it doesn't hold their attention. I am hoping they will grow into it but it just isn't much of an interactive toy for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars its not annoying!!, June 13, 2009

I try to avoid all battery operated toys because I find them loud, obnoxious and annoying. This toy is one of the few exceptions. The music is pleasant and not too loud. My baby got this toy at six months, but it was around 8 months that she began loving it. Its easy to get the music going by batting the flower heads plus there are many engaging textures to explore through the flower petals and leaves. The whole toy is light weight and easy to manipulate. If you are trying to avoid battery toys and would like one or two for a special treat, I would recommend this toy. Lamaze is also a very good company, they are very willing to let you know what their toys are made from if you ask them. I asked them about this one and there is no pvc, phthalates, or bpa in this toy. In fact, most of their toys are this way. When I am looking for a mainstream, readily available toy that does not cost too much I turn to Lamaze. We tend to buy wooden toys made in Europe, but the grandparents would rather get something they can find in walmart or babiesrus, this was a great choice for us!! I also highly recommend the baby einstein mp3 player.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sensory toy!, August 20, 2010

This review is from: Lamaze Chime Garden (Baby Product)
My 12 month old son is blind and received this for his first birthday from an aunt. It is an excellent sensory toy. The music is soft and pleasant. There are 3 different modes of sounds. Some flowers have squishy soft petals, others have fluttery ribbon petals. It stays flat on the ground for him. It barely takes a tap on top of the flower to get it singing. It also lights up. I love this toy and would recommend it for younger babies than my son probably, even though it's perfect for him and the stage he's in, I'd say this is best for 6-12 months.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy!, November 28, 2007

My daughter loved touching a feeling this toy and listening to the cheerful music even before she could sit up. Now my son looks for it and loves touching the flowers to see them light up and play for him. There are several settings for different levels of interaction - I bought this from Target $19.99- well worth the money and very durable!

5.0 out of 5 stars Baby LOVES it, April 20, 2010
This review is from: Lamaze Chime Garden (Baby Product)
This was given to my daughter as a gift when she was just 3 months old. She is now 7 months old and is still in love with this toy. She absolutely loves it. When she first received it, we would sit it in front of her and play the music for her (music plays when you push the flowers) and her eyes would get super wide and she'd reach out for it. Now that she is older, she plays it on her own and is still just as much in love with it. Sadly the batteries have died and the screw is stuck. That's the only thing I do not like about this toy. The screw for the batteries is really REALLY deep into the plastic. So when we tried to unscrew it, it got halfway out and got stuck. It seems that the screw is stripped so it won't budge :o( I might have to get another one of these for her just because she loves it so much. I highly recommend it!

I have bought the Lamaze Chime Garden many times. I buy it for every newborn that I want a gift for and always keep an extra one in my craft room to wrap on a moment's notice.

I also have one for my grandchildren and visiting little ones to play with when visiting us. Although each of them already have their own at home they still manage to spend some time with this toy when visiting.

The tones are lovely, the classical music selection charms children and it is a fun interactive toy for any age child.

I will continue to gift the Chime Garden because I know that children and their parents will love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Toy, July 23, 2010

I just received this toy for my 9 month old daughter. It is one of the most adorable toys I have ever seen! The chime songs are very cute and not annoying like a lot of toys. She loves to smack the tops of the flowers to make them light up and chime. The toy also helps with dexterity since she spends a lot of time spinning the flowers around using the various materials attached to them for petals. All of the crunchy noises are bonus too! :) I highly recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars My son loves it!!! Not too loud!, October 10, 2009
This review is from: Lamaze Chime Garden (Baby Product)
My son received this toy as a gift when he was about 3 months old and loved it! His eyes wouldnt stop lighting up with amazement when we first turned the toy on. He also carries the biggest smile on his face everytime he plays with the chime garden. It comes with 3 different options for how the music is played which is a plus. It does not come with a volume control but its not really necessary because it seems to play at just the right volume level. I dont believe this toy was intended for a 3 month old but all we have to do is put in front of him and turn it on and he gets so excited. Once he is older and can use the chime garden on his on, Im sure he will be able to enjoy even more than he does right now!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Musical Baby Toy Adults Can Bear!, January 27, 2010
By
This review is from: Lamaze Chime Garden (Baby Product)
This toy is great. Not only does my 6.5-month-old daughter love it, but it doesn't drive my husband and me crazy. It has 3 music settings so you don't hear the same 1 or 2 songs over and over, and the music is delicate and quiet (not digital and loud like most baby toys). This is a definite winner in our house.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for tummy time, August 8, 2009
This review is from: Lamaze Chime Garden (Baby Product)
My 2 1/2 Month Old LOVES this toy. We had to turn it on for her at first. I would take her hands and feet and press the flowers. She would smile and talk to it. Durning tummy time we turn it on its side so she can see it. The other day my husband put it in her crib and walked away. We heard it start up again and rushed to see how she turned it on. She scooted to the flowers and used her head and shoulders to turn it on. We also put it in her carseat. I look forward to when she can sit up on her own and use it as it was "intended". Our cost per use for this toy is already under .30 cents (We shoot for at least .50 when considering a toy).

Mode 1 - Just single chime per press (haven't used that much but she is still little)
Mode 2 - Snippets of "If you're happy and you know it" (don't know if others play a different song) gives a chance to touch our nose, clap our hands, kick our feet...one on one parent play
Mode 3 - 2 Longer songs. We use this mode durning tummy time and in her carseat.

The toy is not overly loud. Its not as loud as a telephone or microwave beep, but will cause her to stir (but not wake - usually smiles in her sleep) if it turns on while napping.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Delight for All of Us!, February 15, 2009
This review is from: Lamaze Chime Garden (Baby Product)
If there is one toy to buy for your baby, this is IT. I have purchased hundreds of items on Amazon, and this is the only item that I had to write a review for because I feel so strongly about how GREAT this product is. I also hope that other parents can have a baby as happy as mine is with this toy! It's adorable, the sound thrills my child and actually plays for more than two seconds, and it is a good sound -- not annoying like so many "noise" toys. My baby loves to grab the flowers' leaves (they're the perfect size for tiny hands), enjoys feeling the various textures on the flowers, and is fascinated by the lights. I can't wait to see my baby start composing music on this, which is yet another feature the chime garden offers. All Lamaze toys are spectacular, but this one is amazing. And it's the one toy my baby returns to. I'm happy to see that because it's both entertaining and educational. Fabulous!
