I bought this before our baby girl was born. She's 8 mos. now, and it has been the best toy she has. It was perfect for observing when she began to see bright colors (a few weeks), getting her attention with the squeaker and rattle (0-1 mo.), swatting practice (1-3 mos.), grabbing practice (2-4 mos.), shaking the rattle (3-6 mos.), practicing her pincer grasp on the sun's rays (5-7 mos.)...you get the idea. And the whole time I've hooked it to her stroller or crib, and tossed into the washer without problem. She still loves it, and I highly recommend it for a newborn or shower gift.

Celeste is the BEST!! My son absolutely loves this toy! We take it everywhere that we go. My son is very particular about toys. To this point, he hasn't cared for much of anything that I have bought for him. Then one day I was shopping for something else and picked this up and gave it to him. He immediately held on and put it in his mouth. When I tried to take it away to pay for it, he cried. Right now he is 5 1/2 months old and we have had Celeste for about 6 weeks. My son loves to hold on to the black and white tentacles and put the toys in his mouth. He much prefers the sunshine side to the moon/stars side. The toy is very soft and plush and Jameson loves to just pet it with his hands. He also likes the little handle loop at the top bacause it makes a crinkly noise. I recommend this toy because it is very soft and extremely well-made. It doesn't have that harsh sort of cheap feel that so many other soft baby toys have. The face is very inviting and has so many places and textures for a baby to grab onto. Although I have yet to wash it this way, it looks as if it would easily wash in the washing machine.

My son loves this toy! It is one of his favorites, next to his basic set of 'first keys.' What's nice is that it's very soft and he can throw it around and bang his head into it without getting hurt. He loves putting the yellow star in his mouth, which is great while he's teething. That big yellow sun just keeps him occupied for quite some time. I've been able to hang it from activity gyms, his crib, his stroller, and just allow him to play with it while not attached to anything. The colors are beautiful and I catch myself sometimes playing with it. It has everything a baby would love: great colors, noise (a rattle and what I call a squeeker), and a teether--not only the yellow rubber star, but the soft silky "rays" that come out of the sun. Your child should love this, it's worth every penny.

Bought this toy for my infant son & he LOVES it! We take it everywhere & it's like his little lovey. It attaches to almost anything, making for familiarity & interest in any situation. He loves to bat at it when it's dangling from the stroller shade. Well worth the money!

My daughter hated being in her car seat until we attached this to the handle (with a ribbon) She now loves talking to her friend mr.sun (or mr. moon, depending on what side it is on)I called lamaze because the teether is soft which usually means that it contains phthalates but they assured me that it doesn't. A fun toy. Definitely recommended

Great toy. This toy keeps my sons interest. He loves both the sunshine and the moon. The "legs" are great for him to hold onto and pull. The colors are really bright. We love all of the lamaze toys we have.

This was the first toy I purchased for my son (...). He was about 6 weeks old. He is now 6 months old and still plays with this toy. He loves to put it in mouth and I love that I can just throw it into the washing machine and it doesn't fade or shread. I would recommend this toy as well as many others from Lamaze.

This toy was given to my son at his baptism. At first he only liked the 'moon' side but now he smiles and grabs at the 'sun' side and loves to chew on it. It's stimulating enough for a preemie without being too flashy or overwhelming with noises. The rattle and squeaker are very gentle noises and they won't get on your nerves like some loud toys would. The colors are vibrant and beautiful and the material is is wonderful. It is so easy to wash which is great because my son would cry if he had to wait to play with Celeste! I recommend this toy for any mother and especially to mothers of preemies. This toy is worth it.

I bought this toy as a gift for my friend's 4 month old, and she loved it so much that I bought one for my newborn son. The plastic triagle has a slot in it so it can be hung from the handle of the carrier/carseat so it stays in easy view of the baby while holding the toy securly in one place so you don't have to keep reaching for it off the floor. Now that my son is 9 months old, he still loves this toy and it goes everywhere with us. I have it clipped to the side of the convertible car seat in the car, and I clip it to the side of the canopy on the stroller when we go out to keep him occupied. It does have a lot of length in the attachments, so be sure to supervise your baby when they are playing with this toy, especially while it is not attached to something else. Remember that no toy is ever 100% safe for every child.

I bought Celest at a Store we have called Once Upon A Child. I had never heard of Lamaze toys or anything. Well this bright happy toy just caught my eye, so I bought it for my daughter Emma.

I believe that she was two months old at the time. It was love at first sight!!!! Sheloves to look, chew and talk to the sunny Funny face, and I DONT go anywhere without it. It has been a constant lifesaver in many situations. If youonly buy one toy for your infant....buy this. You will be so glad that you did! It has a teether on one "leg" a purple butterfly rattle. A green squeek toy and an orange attach thingy (probably to attach it to something or something to it. LOL. Believe me when I say that your baby will love it for EVER!!!!!!
