I received this a a gift sometime after my daughter was born. When I first saw it I thought "this can't be a very fun toy to play with" because it just didn't seem like it would be as stimulating as the other lamaze toys with the dangles and rings BUT turns out my daughter loved it. She was about 6 months when we received it and never got her hands or feet stuck in the loop. I am giving it 4 stars because, while at 2.5 months old this is my sons favorite toy to grab and look at, he does get his arm stuck in it sometimes. I guess it's something that they stop doing when they get older but for now I periodically have to 'rescue' him from Lulu's loop. Overall though both of my kids really responded to this toy and love(d) to play with it.

My 8 month old daughter got Lulu for Christmas and she LOVES her crinkly skirt and bright colors. However, within an hour, she had her arm stuck in the the "loop" that is attached to Lulu's left arm and foot. THEN, she had her whole leg in there while she was strapped in her carseat on the way home. YIKES. I can't figure out why on earth Lamaze would put that loop there, but I don't think it is a good idea and can't let her play with the toy unsupervised. There are so many other nice Lamaze toys that don't have that pesky loop, so you might want to keep shopping.

My daughter loves Lulu in a Tutu. Her skirt is crinkly and the bottom is black and white so babies are drawn to it. She can grab the plastic loop connecting the hand and foot and pull herself closer to crinkle the skirt. She also likes to suck on Lulu's ballet slipper. This toy is 100% better than any of the other brands hanging toys (bright starts brand toys are lame compared to this) and we will be asking for more lamaze brand toys for Christmas.

I had to get this for my daughter because it's so ugly it's cute! I love the big teeth and lipstick! My 5 month old likes to crinkle the skirt and chew on the beads. She giggles when I make Lulu give her kisses. The materials and workmanship seem to be good quality so it should stand up over time. The blue rod the beads are on is actually somewhat of a softer flexible rubbery-like material, not hard plastic like I imagined.

I actually bought this gift to send to my 5 month old granddaughter because she left hers at my house during their last visit. It is her most favorite toy. The skirt is crinkly and she loves to move it. She holds on to the ring and drags it where ever she goes. If a grown up holds the ring, you can make the hippo twirl like a ballerina, and that's fun, too!

My grand daughter is curious and is discovering herself as well as a friendly toy when she plays with Lulu. Arms like hers, two teeth like hers, a soft tummy and two feet like hers. The rest? We're getting to see the differences also. Bright and colorful,Lulu looks like an active friend and her tutu really sounds good.

I bought this as a diaper cake topper for my niece. It was perfect. The colors are bright and all of the interactive, sensory features are perfect for growing babies. I'm always happy with my Lamaze purchases, but this is one is high on the list.

Our little girl loves these toys. They are engaging, fun and so cute. Lamaze has spent a bit of cash on R&D to get these just right. Good for starting your little one off with some good neural brain activity.

If my darling granddaughter could talk she would say that this was one of the best toys her grandma and grandfather have given her. She loved the toy and giggled every time she played with it.

My baby loves this hippo. It has a super crinkly tutu that my daughter loves to bat and grab with her hands and feet. She's had it since she was 2 months old and she's now 5 months.
