Lamaze: Pupsqueak the Puppy

I bought this toy for my niece - she's now 8 months old and has been attached to it for 4 months (at least). She loves the crinkle sound the ears make, and she's chewed on the ears so much that they're fraying. When you push the dog's nose he barks but it is difficult to do.. which is why I didn't give this toy 5 stars. The bright colors keep her interest, as well as the rattle in the dog's foot. All in all a great toy!!!

I bought this toy for my son when he was 3 months. HE LOVES IT! He is now 6 mos and still plays with it everyday. It jingles, squeaks, rattles, crinkles and barks. And the best thing is the very bright red color. It also has a ring that is very flexible, I attach it right to the handle on my carseat and the baby loves it. Two minor drawbacks - (1) it is only surface washable, and (2)you have to squeeze the nose to make it bark and a small baby is unable to do that, so you will find yourself having to squeeze that nose pretty often!

This toy is very sturdy and easy to clean. It also comes with a multitude of sounds, textures and colors, which has kept our son interested since the moment he laid eyes on it. The only downer is that the recorded barking noise that plays when you press its nose is a little loud, and can sometimes jolt/scare a baby. We've never been disappointed with any of the Lamaze line of soft toys and Pupsqueak is no exception.

Pupsqueak is wonderful. I am a picky mother about toys. I hate toys that are too loud, too commercial, too cheesy, too useless...I have high standards. But Pupsqueak gets my "picky mom seal of approval" wholeheartedly. Here's why.

I am very blessed to have a mother who loves to send my children lots of goodies. While it's easy to know what to send a 4-year-old with distinct likes and interests, it can be harder to gauge what a twelve-week-old baby will enjoy. We have no shortage of toys and gadgets to entertain our new daughter with, and she clearly enjoys some of them, kicking legs, cooing, , waving arms, etc.

The Pupsqueak, however, took it to a different level. She LOVES this thing. We showed it to her around 11-12 weeks old, and she immediately reacted. She laughed, she kicked, all the signs. Then, she reached for the little black and white patterned bone that hangs down. We were so excited, and she's had it attached to the bar on her carseat ever since. The real test, however, was our 10-hour drive from Louisiana to Kentucky for the Thanksgiving holidays. But Pupsqueak came through for us with flying colors: anytime she would get fussy, I could reach back and shake him a bit so he would jingle softly, and she would be happy again. After my arm would get tired, I'd make sure he was adjusted where she could get at him, and she would, at not yet 4 months, bat at it herself.

Pupsqueak is a wonderful toy with a soft, gently jingle for young babies and a funny bark that even makes my four-year-old laugh for older babies. He is definitely top dog in my book.

We received this toy as a gift from a friend before our son was born. At about 2 1/2 months, he started paying attention to this toy's bright colors. At 4 months, this toy is his absolute favorite, especially the crinkly ears!! He absolutely lights up when this toy comes into his view and reaches for it when I show it to him. This toy is definately a keeper!!

Our baby, now 5 months old, loves his Pupsqueak and has since he was 4 or 5 weeks old. The soft plush, the bright colors, that cute bark, the squeak, the rattle, those crinkly ears--what's not to love? He loves to touch and pat it all over, pulling and grabbing each part to make all the sounds. He loves to chew on the attached bone and squeeze it to make the crinkle sound.

Like all Lamaze toys, it's well designed and well made. It even has a handy clip on top of the head to attach it to your carrier, bouncy seat or diaper bag.

The only negative is it must be spot cleaned; my baby drools all over it, so when I wash it, it's out of commission until it dries completely, which is usually the next day. But that's the same with all soft toys that can't be machine washed, so it's not a serious drawback.

I bought this lil pup for my baby when he was 2 months old, now he is 8 months old and still loves him. His favorite is the doggy ears that make the crinkle sound and he loves to stick them in his mouth. It also has a cute little stretchy peice with a bone for them to chew on too. Each arm and leg make a cute little raddle or jingle noise. And by the press of his nose you hear a little bark(which would normally scare my baby) but he loves it. I recommend this toy for parents to buy b/c it is safe, cute, soft, does many things, and babies will enjoy this friend for awhile.

My son received this toy as a gift when he was about 5 weeks old and immediately fell in love with it. It was amazing how it completely grabbed his attention. He is almost 4 months old now and this is still his favourite toy. Nothing else (except maybe his mobile) even comes close. He talks to him, pets him, plays with and bites on the ears and bone ~ just completely mauls Pupsqueak off and on throughout the entire day. I love that you can attach the toy to everything so it does not drop to the ground. The crinkly ears are the best!! We live about 5 hours from his grandparent's home and he plays with Pupsqueak in between his car naps ~ when we hear the crinkly ears we know he is awake. I was never sure what to buy for baby shower gifts before but this is definitely something I will be buying for other babies. A definite keeper!!

I bought Pupsqueak before our baby was born and originally it was one of my least favorite toys that I purchased. Boy was I wrong! This was our son's favorite toy from day one! He was highly attracted to the red color of the dogs body and loved the sound that it made (a woofing and panting sound) when we pressed the dogs nose. He is now five months and it is still one of his favorite toys. Now he likes the bells in the feet and the crinkling sound that the bone makes when grabbed. We have to take Pupsqueak with us everywhere we go. We attach it with the ring at the top to our car seat, stroller, and even his activity gym.
