You have a lot of imitators and imposters out there(the Rippingtons,Manhattan Transfer),but none of the groups could elicit the pure magic of Lambert, Hendricks,and Ross.The tight vocal harmonies and wry humor these jazz giants presented makes every track a listening pleasure. Bijou and Moanin' were just two of the examples that come to mind;each time I listened to these tracks I was able to detect some new vocal inflection and subtle shading.I've had this recording for over 15 years ,and it still sounds as fresh and interesting as the day I bought it. A must-have for serious jazz collectors and folks who appreciate intricate harmonic phrasings.
