This valance looks a little different from the pic in that the tabs on the top and the border on the bottom are a cheerful raspberry color--brighter than the appearance in the picture. It is made of a thick cotton-like material. Not flimsy at all. It is also larger than most kiddy valances. It's about 12" top to bottom. The individual pictures are kind of quilted in and not just screened on. Nice quality product.
