This book is a handbook, a basic primer, a cornerstone for the practical aspects of ministry in that it is an alert, a red flag, a warning of the pitfalls ahead that can ensnare and trap the unwary. You have no idea how thrilling it is to realize here is a tool that I can give to the lambs that the Lord has put in this shepherd's flock. "Recently I was handed a new book written by Joyce Strong. I knew after reading a few pages of Lambs on the Ledge that I didn't want to put it down until I finished it.

"This book should be required reading for all Christians in, or planning to be in, any type of ministry whether paid or volunteer. Written from someone who has struggled through some of the pitfalls mentioned and has experienced the pain brought on by being disobedient to her calling, this book urges each of us to let the Good Shepherd do the leading.

"Mrs. Strong opens herself up to rejection and pain by revealing things she went through that almost pushed her over the ledge. It is from her own personal experiences and experiences of others she has worked with that rich insights in God's Word are applied, giving fresh meaning and a challenge to do His will. We are led to recognize our need for spiritual renewal and restoration when we minister close to the ledge.
