This book is so good that it will survive the test of time no matter what. Reading and understanding it gives the reader the ability to judge correctly how to superbly care for horses. I'm very glad that Dr. Rooney has updated it, but I sure wouldn't be throwing out the old versions yet! I've worked with horses for 46 years, and I always have a copy of Rooney handy, plus...

This first edition is long, long out-of-date, and it is high time Amazon woke up and stopped misleading the public by offering remaindered books without so identifying them.

This book is so good that it will survive the test of time no matter what. Reading and understanding it gives the reader the ability to judge correctly how to superbly care for horses. I'm very glad that Dr. Rooney has updated it, but I sure wouldn't be throwing out the old versions yet! I've worked with horses for 46 years, and I always have a copy of Rooney handy, plus a loaner copy for others.

A priceless book for anyone involved in the care of horses.
