FINALLY, A GOOD GLUE DISPENSER,

I have spent (read that: WASTED) a lot of money on adhesive applicators that have disappointed me once they arrived. While they appeared to be ideal in their photos and descriptions, in reality they have all had flaws in design, practical application or overall quality which made them undesirable to use. These shortcomings would be much easier to ascertain if viewed on a shelf rather than online, but I don't feel like driving that far to shop. So, when I saw the Lamello Minicol Glue Bottle on Amazon, I decided I would try one last time to purchase a descent product. FINALLY! The Lamello Minicol is a very well designed and quality product, worth every penny! It's pretty obvious this is a product built to last a lifetime. Please note the Lamello Minicol Glue Bottle is NOT for use with polyurethane or any other adhesive that reacts with moisture. It is, however, perfect for adhesives such as Titebond I, II or III. I use Titebond II for the most part, but if I find myself using more of one of the others than I currently do, I will be ordering another Lamello Minicol for that glue as well. Now I can put all the other junk I've collected in a garage sale or the trash can and free up the cabinet space for something useful.

Yes, this *seems* a bit expensive for a glue applicator, but its well worth it.The bottle has a flattend stainless-steel metal tip with a hole out each side. This allows one to apply glue to two 90 degree surfaces at once. For example in a slot or long groove, it gets all three faces at once. The base is made from some heavy type of hardwood, with a receptacle that the bottle fits in. The you add water to the receptacle, which keeps the tip moist and so the tip doesn't ever clog with hardened glue. The base, at least mine, is finished with Polyurethane? which makes cleaning any spilled glue a snap. Although the photo looks like the bottl;e is rounded on the bottem, it does have a flat spot and will stand upright for filling, or to just set it down. Its a great product, and I just ordered a second one for my Titebond III!

a little overrated for the high price you pay,

This is a very expensive way to put glue in a biscuit hole. It works fairly well, and saves some mess, but doing it carefully by hand should be considered.
