The White Lamentations are a wonderful addition to the ranks of the in-print ... The voicing of this piece makes it a bit more convenient to modern choirs than Tallis's ravishing (and better-known) original ATTBB exercise in this genre, and this edition renders the piece more accessible than Byrd's early setting ... For the choir looking for something new (well, old) and different fro a Lent or Holy Week service or concert, this pieces is a great possibility.
