To improve the hook-up on crankbaits, I had been admonished by several fishing friends that I must try a good glass rod. So, I bought the Lamiglas Certified Pro Fiberglass 7'6" Mod/Fast action, 5 power Casting Rod. It has been an excellent purchase. The glass rod does reduce the risk of ripping the hooks out of the mouth of the bass on the hook-set. This particular glass rod improve casting distance and has enough backbone to hold on to the strong hardfighting Smallmouth. It has a great extended handle with a good solid reel seat. I would recommend this rod to the "best of the best" anglers.
