Nikon D7000 inBrief Laminated Card

A Quick Field Reference for Your Camera Bag

A laminated reference card for your camera bag

Your new Nikon D7000 has many controls and settings designed to allow you to make a perfect exposure.

But remembering where they are and how the features work together can be daunting.

If you decide to carry the user manual in your bag but finding the answer to your question can be a frustrating experience. That is why Blue Crane Digital developed an abbreviated field reference guide for your digital SLR.

The inBrief reference card answers most camera operation questions quickly and easily. The information is arranged logically for ease of use. The reference card is laminated with foldable hinges so it lies flat and is easily stored in your camera bag.

The first panel contains a color-coded index to the rest of the panels. For instance, if you have a question about white balance, just check the index and find your answer on the purple panel.

An overview of the information for each of the panels is listed below:
  • Foldable, laminated hinges allow the inBrief to lie flat in your camera bag
  • Answers the most common questions about camera operation and customization
  • Index and panels are color coded for quickly finding your answer
  • Laminated 100LB card stock resists wear and weather
  • Eliminates the need to carry your camera manual

Once you have the inBrief reference card, you can leave your manual at home!

Once you get used to laying out your cake ingredients before you bake the cake, you will find it much easier to concentrate on getting the shot that you really want.

These are great for pocket reference on these complicated cameras. I've had one for my D90 which is 2 years old now and I still refer to it now and again. Great for packing, durable, light. Reading glasses might be needed.

I thought this was in booklet form, but its folds open and that is my only (small) nit. Some carry the manual, but in the best environment I can't get two pages in it without falling asleep. This quick reference is perfect for the camera bag. There is so much going on with modern DSLRs, a handy reference like this is vital....

40 years ago I could pick up pretty well any camera and know what did what in an hour. Now I need about a month, and I'm reasonably computer literate. It just isn't practicle to carry a manual, and cheatsheats are a real help, so my next purchase after buying a new camera are the guides, both Blue Crane and PhotoBert as they do differ.

This was a fast way to be introduce some of the features of the D7000. The company that I bought my D7000 from had removed the Owner's Guide from the kit and refused to replace it. I downloaded a manual but it's huge so the DVD was very helpful in giving me an introduction to my new camera, pointers on the new features and tips, but also a visual to compare to.

I would definitely recommend this product.

This DVD is not going to teach you every single thing about your camera, but it will teach you the basics and just a little bit more, which may be more than you think if this is your first experience with a DSLR... the basics are not exactly basic, but are basic when it comes to all of the possibilities of your DSLR camera. So if reading the manual and figuring it out on your own is not your thing, or you are simply a visual learner, this is a great DVD and start to getting to know your Nikon D7000

If you don't use the camera on a regular basis, it is easy to forget where buttons are or what they do. This card is a great reference for a refresher or if you are struggling for a setting/function. It is waterproof and fits in your bag easily. I really like this guide for the money.
